On the evening of Tuesday 7 May, the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Unit of Florence, while passing through Piazza Paolo Uccello, the intersection with the Tramway Bridge which connects with the Cascine Park, noticed three young people who, at the sight of the soldiers, started running leak. The operators, becoming suspicious, reached them, blocking two of them. Subsequent investigations made it possible to find on their person a dose of cocaine, 4 blisters containing 62 “Pregabalin” tablets, and the cash sum of 340.00 euros. The Carabinieri, realizing that the two could be hiding something else, in-depth checks at their home where, in addition to finding 700 gr. of the narcotic substance Hashish – divided into 7 blocks of 100 grams each and the cash sum of 4,700.00 euros, various types of material were also found (41 mobile phones, 4 PCs, 4 tablets, 2 headphones, 1 console, 1 scooter, wind instrument Horn, box containing perfumes, 2 Luis Vuitton bags, 50 caps, 7 bandanas with Italy writing).

What was found was seized, while the two Algerians, aged 34 and 36, were handcuffed on suspicion of the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances and receiving stolen goods, and were associated at the prison of Florence Sollicciano.

However, the presumption of innocence applies to those under investigation until their guilt is ascertained with an irrevocable sentence.
