History, the commitment of Lucanian and Sinisgalli women among the events promoted at the Book Fair by the Basilicata Upi and the Provinces of Potenza and Matera

Friday 10 May the stand of the Regional Council of Basilicata present at the Turin Book Fair will host the initiatives promoted by the Basilicata Upi and the Provinces of Potenza and Matera. A rich calendar with a variety of topics addressed within the programme Basilicata, land of the imagination which represents, overall, the Lucanian participation in the XXXVI edition of the Show from 9 to 13 May.

The day will begin at 11.30 with the debate entitled ‘‘Made in Basilicata. Lucanian women, between literature, social commitment and talent”. Speakers include Simona Bonito, equality advisor for the Province of Potenza, Carmen Paradiso, journalist and entrepreneur at Sizaa Editrice and Chiara Vigna, business consultant and author of the book ”Frasi sul pavement”. At 12.00 thematic study in collaboration with the Regional Council of Basilicata Youth Space for the meeting with the student councils of Basilicata and the theme ‘‘Steam and young Lucanian talents”. Ludovica Sangiacomo, a graduate in Management Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin, intervenes.

At half past twelvefor the cycle ‘‘Meeting with the author”, will take place on ppresentation of the book ”You can hear the sound of the sea”, Capponi publisher. They talk with the author Italo Cantore Simona Bonito, Equality Councilor of the Province of Potenza and Carmen Paradiso journalist. In the afternoon, at 4.00 pmin collaboration with the ”Leonardo Sinisgalli” Foundation, the meeting will take place: ”TheEonardo and Vincenzo: the Sinisgalli brothers and the other Lucanian poets”. Speakers include Domenico Sammartino, President of the Leonardo Sinisgalli Foundation and writer, Biagio Russo, member of the CTS Leonardo Sinisgalli Foundation, Antonio Sanchirico of the Leonardo Sinisgalli Foundation and Preface of “Il giro di Antonietta” by Vincenzo Sinisgalli, Caterina Arcangelo Editorial Director of FuoriAsse Officina della cultura.

At 4.45pm space for artistic performances with Franco Pantalena and “Marriage in Basilicata: a ritual between nature, community and territory”. At 5.15pm the book will be presented ”The 36th confined”. Together with the author, Emilio Salierno, the President of Upi Basilicata Piero Marrese will speak. All events will be coordinated by Luigi Scaglione of the Press Office of the Province of Potenza.
