L’AQUILA – The fall of rubble from the municipal bridge on Via Marconi in San Sisto all’Aquila could have had truly serious consequences. in fact, after a reconstruction of what happened, it was learned that one of the pieces of rubble weighing almost a kilo and with a point fell not far from a man who was walking his dog and the timing coincidences were fortunately benign. The fact is that the urban police, the firefighters and the public works sector of the Municipality rushed to the scene with the official Carlo Bolino and other technicians and various vehicles.

It was decided to cordon off the area for a certain time to allow the “reclamation” of the area at risk by eliminating the various pieces above considered unsafe as seen in the photo by G. Cocciolone. The largest one which could have caused a serious accident was also recovered. Now the work is completed and it is safe.

But the falls of rubble from the various bridges overlooking the city are a constant which is not easy to remedy despite reports.
