On Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April the fields of the ‘Sports Centre’ of the Mercato dei Fiori once again hosted a colorful and well-attended event of the Italian Gymnastics Federation.
The first edition of the ‘Sanremo Gym Festival’, proposed by Ginastica Riviera dei Fiori, was dedicated to the sections of gymnastics for all, trampolining and acrobatics. The event had some innovative aspects, with the inclusion of associations from Piedmont and Lombardy in the regional tests and the welcome participation of two French companies with which we have been collaborating for several years.
The two rewarding sporting days certainly did not have the sole competitive purpose (many participants were very young, under 8 years old), but they were an opportunity to learn about and compete in different types of activities for men and women in the 4 sections Olympic Games of the Gymnastics Federation. Even the podiums could not be missing and involved all the associations present, from the Riviera dei Fiori, to Viridis Sanremo, La Pietrese Maremola, Asd Polisportiva Jolly Vinovo, Asd Team Cuneo, Asd Euritmica Carmagnola, Asd Sampietrina Ginnastica, Club Phenix by Beausoleil and the Kelo Trampo by Saint Laurent Du Var.
For the trampoline, gold for Roberta Di Michele, silver for Cecilia Carlo with Alice Serini, Raffaella Cantagallo, Alice Bovenzi, Giulia Fassitelli, Annalisa Driza, Gresia Pennella, Serena Romeo, Ilaria Vitulano and Martina Parente in the junior 1, all Riviera podium in the Allieve with, in order, Bice Manzo, Giulia Di Francesco, Giulia Parente, Margherita Bianchi, and Marta Scaramuzzino.
In the Junior 2 first place for Elena Stella, Bronze for Sara Papirio 5 Germano Noemi and 6 Matilde Sappia, with Alice Dosio gold in the seniors. For the males, Riviera podium students with gold Giacomo Cioffi, Pietro Serini, Samuele Lombardo and 5 Lorenzo Gianforte. Bronze in the juniors for Jan Rybaltouski. Everyone also performed well in the tests on the mini trampoline and in the acrobatic progressions which also saw the participation of Gloria Gandolfo, Yendry Segovia (both on the podium), Viola Guazzoni and Rebecca Denitto.
In the Syncrogym team competition, a test which involves the execution of a collective exercise and in pairs with equipment, top step of the podium in the second band with Isabella Capponi Garcia, Noemi Romeo and Kristel Kopliku, silver in the open category for Alicya Alonso Perez, Emma Sofia Lulja, Elisa Modesti, Asia Pegoraro, and Sofia Romeo. Also for the gymnastics section for all, the Gymgiocando, Promogym and Pre-competitive competitions were held. For rhythm, the Gymflowers inter-social competition was held.
