On Saturday (4 May) at the Sant’Anna auditorium in Piazzale Cervi I attended the staging of the musical Anastasia freely taken from Anastasia – The new Broadway musical and presented by Those of the Little Projectyoung people from the parish of Sant’Anna and beyond.
A show worthy of Broadway theatres: splendid voices, excellent direction, just as I would like to underline a splendid adaptation in Italian written by Stefano Tomei.
Two hours of show without a moment’s breath, full of movement, engaging and well done, perfectly well done. Talking about someone in particular is reductive but it is impossible not to underline the skill of Mattia Castagnoli (Dimitri), bright star in a constellation of splendid voices as already mentioned, splendid Michela Fambrini (Anastasia), by Ilaria Bandini (the empress dowager) superb in her performance, of Daniele Volpi (Vlad), by Luca Alfarano (Gleb), gorgeous Nadia Morella (Lily perfectly in her role played with wisdom, without frills, as a true master of the stage. All the other participants lived up to the task assigned to them as well as the Torrini dance school without forgetting the essential but well done choreography and scenography, the costumes, lighting design, technicians, well done, and as already said, the direction is splendid Nicola Cosentino, Stefano Tomei and Claudia Lucchesi. A show that ended with the shouts of the audience standing to pay homage to everyone. A show that reminded me (where it was needed) how it is possible with commitment, dedication and passion, to fly high, very high. A prayer to all these guys, come back on stage and come back many times, the show you presented is beautiful and the people of Lucca must see it. Well done again well done and fortunately it is the result of the commitment of theLittle project‘. Let’s imagine it was the result of an ‘important project’.
