The closure of the internal kitchen of the Guastalla hospital has been in force since yesterday, with the Local Health Authority having launched an external contract with the CIR for meals for hospitalized patients. But, at least so far, despite the various hypotheses that have emerged in recent days, there have not been the expected changes for kitchen operators, i.e. the assignment of tasks on site, in the Guastalla area, where almost all of the same operators live.
“At the moment – explain the union representatives of the Public Function of CGIL, CISL and UIL – the destinations remain at the Montecchio and Reggio offices. In recent days there had been talk, but only verbally, of possible alternative solutions, as well as a possible promotion of a shuttle service for the “collective” transport of workers to the new offices. But so far the original destinations remain, with the operators forced to present themselves at the Montecchio and Reggio offices”.
We are also looking for alternative outlets for the three operators of the cooperative which deals, with external contract, with the distribution of meals and the washing of cookware. The unions have sent a letter to the management of the Local Health Authority, asking for certainty on the proposals put forward so far only in a “verbal” way, including the shuttle service and vehicle sharing apps. “We believe it is urgent – say CGIL, CISL and UIL – to have feedback on what was proposed, especially now that the scheduled date for the closure of the Guastalla kitchen has now arrived.”
