Brescia, Cellino: «I believe in Serie A, and Maran will stay»

From the nightmare of defeat in the play outs with Cosenza to the turning point with Rolando Maran. Massimo Cellino defines himself as “a proven person”and thanks all those who work for Brescia: «When I think about it I feel like I’m never quite up to these people».

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the president of Brescia promotes the work with flying colours of his technician: «If we play so well, the credit goes to the coach. It’s not true that I stay close to my technicians to asphyxiate them. With Rolando I found first of all a man: when I’m not in Brescia, he takes my place.” For the owner there are no doubts about the confirmation of «Rolly» for next season: «What if he stays? Certain, the contract was automatically renewed for another season with salvation. We both want to do well, let’s go beyond the signed contracts.”

Cellino believes in Serie A (“Brescia and Brescia have the potential to be there”) and also addresses the topic relating to the company’s future: «I don’t have a suitable buyer for Brescia at hand. And I’m not focused on selling it. Then if someone appears in the near future who intends to do good for this club, I will listen. But I don’t sell to the first person who comes by.”
