“The Easter announcement resonated in the hearts of the elderly in retirement homes, bringing joy, light and hope”
This is what the President of the Polyphonic Choir “La Corale” of Feroleto Antico Tonino Michele Gigliotti expressed himself at the end of the Recital “Christ is Risen”, staged in recent days at the “Tamburelli” retirement home in Lamezia Terme, the shelter for the elderly “Madonnina” and the shelter for the disabled “Sant’Antonio di Montesoro in Philadelphia.
“The musical meeting with the guests of the retirement homes – added Gigliotti – was, in fact, an event of solidarity and Easter joy”.
Numerous people participated in the exciting and eagerly awaited musical show presented by “La Corale” directed by maestro Don Pino Latelli: family members and patients and the healthcare staff: doctors, psychologists, educators, social workers, nurses who follow them every day with passion and competence the guests of the facilities.
The thunderous applause represented the appreciation of the audience present for the brilliant performance of the singing group. The Recital, during which narrated parts entrusted to the voice of Maestro Don Pino Latelli and musical parts performed by the singing Ensemble alternated, in fact, was very successful from an artistic and musical point of view and listeners will hardly forget such a beautiful moment and exhilarating.
“The initiative, made possible thanks to the availability and sensitivity of the choristers of the polyphonic choir, gave the opportunity – underlines Don Pino Latelli – to give the patients of the retirement homes the joyful announcement that Christ has risen with the singing, appropriate reflections on the Paschal mystery and above all with closeness and affection in an attempt to bring a smile to those who are often marked by suffering and loneliness”. All the appointments ended with the inevitable refreshments offered by the property and the exchange of good wishes.
