“Civitavecchia has the opportunity to become a real green hub, but we need a virtuous municipality”. The former Minister of the Environment, Sergio Costa, now vice president of the Chamber of 5 stars, participated in the conference on the topic of waste which was held yesterday in the Pucci hall, organized by the Pentastellati and Civitavecchia Popolare.
“It would be essential to introduce the punctual tariff, because it is right to “entice” those who carry out separate waste collection correctly. But I am also thinking of small composting plants. When I was minister the compost producers had given me the OK, they would have lowered social tensions and would have allowed the citizen to control the progress.
In Civitavecchia it would also be important to insist on offshore wind energy, an opportunity also in the employment sector”. Present at the meeting were the mayoral candidate of Movimento 5 Stelle and Civitavecchia Popolare, Enzo D’Antò, the regional councilor Adriano Zuccalà, the engineer Francesco Girardi, Marta Malaguti of Civitavecchia Popolare and the journalist Elisa Castellucci who moderated the proceedings.
