Meeting with Pietro Grasso to talk about legality

The ‘Pages of legality, examples of citizenship’ initiative was born as a spin-off of the Conad ETS Foundation School Project created with Unisona, which in the two live streaming events on legality held by Pietro Grasso between the end of 2022 and 2023 saw the participation of over 100 thousand high school students.

Fondazione Scintille di Futuro, chaired by Pietro Grasso, has therefore developed an in-depth program divided into training webinars dedicated to high school teachers throughout Italy – which started last January 31st – to provide teachers with the tools necessary to deal with a path of education in legality.

Precisely on the basis of this experience, I am very happy to bring Scintille for schools, in many classes, because even from this small seed a new spring of legality can start” – declared President Grasso at the opening of the meeting.

“I want to thank President Grasso, the Scintille di futuro Foundation and the Conad ETS Foundation for involving the Conad System in a project that allows us to promote values of justice and civic responsibility, key aspects of our commitment towards the communities in which we operate and of our ongoing effort to create sustainable value for the future. – declared Conad President Mauro Lusetti – This morning, we had the privilege of involving many young people from our area in a fundamental dialogue on the promotion of legality and the strengthening of social cohesion. We firmly believe in collective action and in the positive impact we can generate on the future of our communities, reaffirming our commitment alongside the new generations and creating opportunities for cultural and social growth”.

“We are proud, after the live streaming events offered to students from all over Italy, to also support this initiative which stimulates dialogue with teachers and educates children to recognize and combat all forms of mafia – added Maria Cristina Alfieri, Director of Conad ETS Foundation –. We are grateful to President Grasso and to his Foundation, Scintille di futuro, for the extraordinary work of raising awareness among young people on such an important topic as education on legality”.
