Three days of “General States of Climate Action” in Cesena

The “states general of climate action” have chosen the city of Cesena to symbolically close, one year after the flood and in one of the most affected places, the circle of their activism and also launch to the citizens the 30 proposals with which ask politicians to speed up the transition.

In recent months, the path of the “General States of climate action” has seen over 50 “Italian climate acronyms” engaged in a participatory process with the aim of drawing up a programmatic document aimed at politics. In Cesena, one year after the devastating flood, the fruit of the first phase of training and discussion will be presented. A meeting open to local associations interested in climate, social and environmental issues will also be organized on Saturday 11 May, upon registration, to discuss the impact of the extreme event that hit the city and territory, but also to share new ideas and visions of the future. The public appointment of this weekend’s three-day event in Cesena for the “General States of the Climate” is May 11th at 7pm at the Spazio Cesuola in via Ponte Abbadesse. To register you need to send an email to: [email protected] and wait for confirmation. The “States General of Climate Action” are a space for collaboration between entities active in tackling the socio-ecological crisis. It is a path created to give more strength and cohesion to all the subjects who identify with this cause and to develop clear, shared and implementable proposals to be addressed to politics. From the first assembly, organized in Val d’Ossola in September 2023, the over 50 acronyms who have chosen to join the process will present the final document from 10 to 12 May in Cesena, a city chosen also because during the months of work the group was came into contact with one of the associations created in the area following the flood events.
