One year’s imprisonment is the sentence requested by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rimini for a 45-year-old middle school teacher, resident in L’Aquila, accused of luring young girls into social. According to the prosecution, the teacher, defended by the lawyer Francesco Valentini, from the L’Aquila Forum, had exchanged a series of messages with a 15-year-old of a sexual nature. The conversations date back to 2019 when the man allegedly met the very young girl on a social networks, starting to exchange erotic messages. It was the girl’s mother who realized that something was wrong and, on one occasion, discovered her daughter while she was taking pictures of herself. selfies in the room, completely naked, and sent them to some contacts on Instagram messaging. An alarm bell that pushed the woman to investigate the matter further and to call the judiciary into question.
The mother of the 15-year-old, together with the family lawyer, went to the police station to tell everything to the police, asking to trace the recipients of the messages and to understand if it could be a case of solicitation. The complaint was collected by the agents and forwarded to the Bologna Prosecutor’s Office, which was able to trace the identities of three people. Three contacts with whom the girl chatted regularly and explicitly, talking about sex. Among these male contacts of the teenager from Rimini there was also that of the 45-year-old from L’Aquila, a literature teacher at a middle school. At that point the police decided to search the man’s home to look for useful elements for the investigation. During the search, a mobile phone, a laptop, a hard disk and other IT media were seized. In the computer devices seized from the man, however, the investigators had not found photos or videos of the girl, as pointed out by the teacher’s lawyer. The 45-year-old, before the judge, defended himself by claiming that he was not aware of the minor age of the girl with whom he had come into contact through Instagram. The public prosecutor requested a one-year sentence against the man, and the trial was adjourned to October 21 for replies and the sentence. (ada)
