Healthcare, over a thousand hires for the Latina ASL – Radio Studio 93

“I consider President Rocca’s hiring plan for regional healthcare to be of extraordinary importance. This document represents a decisive step forward to strengthen the regional health service. It is essential to preserve public and universal healthcare as a tool for safeguarding health for the community in compliance with constitutional principles. Hospital staff have been grappling with structural problems for years. Many professionals have had to make sacrifices to ensure the provision of fundamental assistance services to citizens. This plan is therefore of historic significance. We are talking about 8 thousand and 158 new permanent hires for the two-year period 2024-2025, of which 6843 authorizations for 2024 and 1315 new hires for the Jubilee 2025, in addition to the 1541 stabilizations for the current year.

As many as 1051 healthcare workers will be hired in the province of Latina. I can undoubtedly define it as a sort of ‘Marshall plan’, capable of bringing local healthcare out of a twenty-year tunnel.

Overall, the maxi-investment, equal to 466 million euros over the next two years, therefore provides for 9699 authorizations for the recruitment of healthcare professionals. An unprecedented measure: from the hiring already granted in 2023 (4054 units, including 1605 stabilisations, for 195.5 million euros), we reach 13 thousand 753 healthcare workers (between new hires and stabilisations) for a total investment of 661 million and 500 thousand euros. The new staff will also serve to make the interventions implemented with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan fully operational. Concerning: 59 territorial operations centers, 35 community hospitals, 131 community homes and 298 large equipment. The Regional Health Service will go from 53 thousand and 583 employees in 2023 to 62 thousand and 662 professionals in 2025, planning to welcome the millions of faithful in view of the Jubilee 2025. A 17% increase in terms of recruitment, which has the effect of reduce the use of precarious employment, encouraging the inclusion of young people in the healthcare sector. We are certainly at an epochal turning point for our region, whose main architect is our governor Francesco Rocca, to whom I extend my personal thanks for what he is doing for the citizens of Lazio”.

This was stated in a note by Enrico Tiero, president of the Economic Development and Productive Activities commission, as well as member of the Health commission of the Lazio Regional Council
