The dog who was tortured and killed last night by unknown assailants in the Signorello neighborhood of Catanzaro was called Pati. The animal, loved and known in the area, was beaten, castrated and had its tail cut off. It is with deep ache And indignation that the Animal Protection Department of the Municipality of Catanzaro, the Mayor and the entire administration firmly condemn this vile act of cruelty”, said the municipal Councilor for Animal Protection Nunzio Belcaro.
“Pati, beloved member of our community, he was slaughtered in a ruthless, barbaric way, leaving an indelible mark of violence and contempt for innocent life. This behavior is not only unacceptable, but highlights the social danger of those who can commit such inhumane acts, since those who are capable of inflicting suffering on animals could also pose a threat to people”, added the councilor.
