Patriciello: “I’m running with the League because it defends the territories”

Home stop today for Aldo Patriciello, outgoing MEP and candidate for the League in the Strasbourg Parliament. If elected, the Molise politician would be in his fifth mandate in Europe.

Patriciello met the press in Campobasso and explained the choices and themes of his renewed presence, starting from the banners under which he decided to run, those of Matteo Salvini’s League. I chose Lega, he says, because it is the party of the territory, of identities and of administrators. For Patriciello this Europe needs a course correction, starting with agricultural policies.

Patriciello does not shy away from what has become a topic of national debate: the candidacy of General Vannacci. I – says Patriciello – am running with my personal history as a moderate, starting from my militancy in the Christian Democracy. The choice – in this case more than ever, given the proportional voting system – is in the hands of the voters, they will decide who to send to Europe.

Together with Patriciello, in the press conference there were also the regional secretary of the UDC, Teresio Di Pietro, a party which in this electoral round federated with the League; together with him, the regional commissioner of the Carroccio, Michele Marone.
