There are two suspects in the investigation that the Brindisi Prosecutor’s Office opened after the workplace accident in which the 46-year-old worker lost his life Vincenzo Valente from Latiano (Brindisi), who got his left arm caught in the gears of the conveyor belt of the sugar factory, in the industrial area of Brindisi, on the evening of May 3rd.

This is the director of the plant and the legal representative of the limited liability company, based in Brindisi, for which Valente worked. The case was opened for manslaughter, with violation of the rules for the prevention of accidents at work. The worker was carrying out maintenance work on conveyor belt number 6 of the sugar factory, the one that connects the plant to the industrial dock of Costa Morena Est.
