Weekend divided between Modena and Faenza for Atletica 85 Faenza. The first phase of the overall club championships was held in Modena while in Faenza, at home, A85 organized the provincial phase of boys and cadet competitions. Faenza hosted more than 700 athletes, impressive numbers, unimaginable until a few years ago. More than 40 sets between 60m and 80m, almost 70 in the long jump and vortex throw. As for the results, many beautiful podiums, personal records and performances, but above all enormous team spirit from the young athletes from Faenza. Among the cadets, the provincial champions were: Margherita Poli in the 80m with 10.5m, Mihaela Secrieru in the high jump with 1.52m and Maia Minardi in the shot put with 10.85m. Among the cadets Riccardo Camporesi in the 5km walk with a time of 28’41”4, among the girls Daisy Agnese Iduozee in the 60m with 8”4 and last but not least among the boys victories in the 2km walk Leonardo Malavolti with 14’57”6 and Roberto Samorì with 42.22m. Impressive numbers in Modena, many participants, probably record attendance with 2,162 athletes in total. The Faenza team defended themselves very well, scoring many good results and reaching their first goal of the season: the women are in seventh place in the provisional general ranking, confirming themselves at national level in the B final while the men’s team takes the first step for the 2025 challenges. Saturday starts with the social record equaled by Irene Grossi in the triple jump with the measurement of 11.35m, then the personal best of Sofia Tarozzi in the 100hs in 15″21 and of Carolina Alvisi in the 100m in 12″42. Zoe Fiorentini confirmed her good level in the 400m and finished in 56″06. Among the males, a good 51 ”81 on the debut for Fabio Finocchiaro in the 400m where he ran in a heat with practically no opponents. Good debut on Sunday for Francesca Amadori in the 400hs who equals the seasonal record of 2023 with 1’04″64, in the pole vault social record for Vittoria Bosi with 2.85m. Denise Soldati scores the personal best in the discus throw in 26.72m, also a personal best for Carlotta Tagliaferri in the javelin throw with 37.46m and then Fiorenza Pierli and Martina Ugolini did well in the 5000m, finishing in 17’50”90 and 18’28 ”97, for the latter a personal best.
