First weekend of May “varied” for Venjulia Rugby Trieste. The Under 16 team in the Juvenilia-Venjulia club lost 62 to 0 in the match against Monti Rugby Rovigo Junior, but with the usual encouragement from the Trieste staff to “never molar”.
The First Team match ended 26 to 17 for Pordenone Rugby. It was a hard-fought match, led by the Trieste players during the first half of the game, which ended with a score of 17 to 10 in favor of Trieste.
In the second half the home team had a blackout, a mental rather than physical decline. At that moment the Pordenone scrum made the difference, overturning the result in favor of the guests.
The Prosecco field brought good luck to the women’s team of the highest category, since the Forum Iulii, the regional franchise in which many Venjulia athletes play, defeated Le Puma Bisenzio Rugby, 14 to 12 during the last match of the Serie A championship. A round of applause to the Venjulia girls, lined up in the Forum Iulii shirt, namely Alessia Babini, Caterina Blaskovic, Matilde Buzzan, who scored two tries, Lucia Castellan, Martina Clean and Sara Poropat.
Finally, the @Old Rugby Club I Tandoi, the master team that took part in the final stage of the tenth edition of the Old Rugby delle Venezie, which took place in Pordenone. The Julian team of former agonists won the first match against Ombre Rosse Old Rugby Padova, while they lost narrowly against Pordenone Old Rugby, against Camposampiero Padova and against Allegri del Valpolicella.
