Doctor Tosetti awarded in Singapore

An international recognition by the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, one of the most important associations in the world that promotes the innovation, development and application of magnetic resonance techniques in medicine, was awarded to the doctor Michela Tosettidirector of the Medium Physics and Magnetic Resonance Laboratory at Stella Maris Foundation et al Imago7 research center.

The society, which has over 9 thousand members from various countries around the world and which is currently holding its annual conference in Singaporein fact wanted to reward Dr. Tosetti for hers significant contributions to research in the field of magnetic resonance imaging. A contribution that earned her the title of senior fellow.

Tosetti has dedicated his entire career to MRI: his main focus focus of research was the development and application of MRI methods and instrumentation for the human brainand the development of ultra-high field systems for human imaging.

In 2008 she became project manager for the start-up of the first and only Italian 7 Tesla systeminstalled in 2012 at the IMAGO7 Research Center in Calambrone, a research infrastructure created with the contribution of the Pisa Foundation and which sees as its owners and management bodies, together with the IRCCS Stella Maris Foundation, theUniversity of PisaL’Aoup el’Aou “Meyer”.

Three years later, however, it is been nominated pcontract professor of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Physics aL Department of Physics of the University of Pisawhile in 2013 he obtained the national qualification as a full professor in Applied Physics.
