Although the 3-5-2 represents the basic tactical scheme adopted by Catania under Zeoli’s management, the Rossazzurri coach does not discard other solutions a priori. The use of the offensive trident is less likely, the use of the two strikers is practically certain like Cianci and Di Carmine, which have compatible characteristics for playing as a couple. So far the former Taranto striker has especially benefited from it, appearing much more at ease jousting with a teammate nearby as support, rather than as the only offensive reference.
The use of two central attackers is a solution increasingly adopted by Mr. Zeoli, who however also takes into consideration the possibility of adopting a four-man defensive line. The position of Quaini is curious as, in the last round of the championship against Benevento, in certain phases of the match he acted both in defense and in a slightly more advanced position, giving support to the midfielders.
