Valentina Di Giovanni, from Corigliano Rossano, is the “Splendida of Italy”
The first national final of the “Splendida d’Italia” competition took place in Chianciano Terme and out of over 50 selected and beautiful competitors, the 18-year-old from Corigliano Rossano, Valentina Di Giovanni, was crowned the winner. The national “Splendida d’Italia” competition was conceived by Francesca Cecchini, owner of Pinkeventi from Fano and took place in Chianciano Terme from 2 to 5 May and enjoyed the patronage of the municipality and the hospitality of the Cristallo hotels and the Astra hotels of entrepreneur Gerardo Guida. The exciting evening took place at Palamontepaschisiena, hosted by Augusto Alessi and Lara Gentilucci, which began with the surprise entry from the main doors of the location of 50 girls to the tune of the theme song of the competition “Splendida” by the Fano singer-songwriter Luca Vagnini, then continued with the touching and exciting choreography on the theme of feminicide which moved the entire audience present to the notes of Donna by Mia Martini and Immortal by Evanescence, music “played” by Stefano Vampa and Daniele Bellagamba. The 50 girls, coming from various regions of Italy, spent days passing through the jury, chaired by the municipal councilor Fabio Nardi, shooting in the streets of the town with a stop at the steps dedicated to violence against women, a gala evening and the national final preceded as an aperitif in the company of the exceptional godmother Stefania Orlando who with great availability, affection and elegance then participated in the front row in the evening of the election of the National Crown. A great responsibility for the authoritative jury to select the beauties among the beauties and in the end they had to decide by assigning second place to Emma Brandt aged 18 from Rimini; third place Francesca Todosia 16 years old from Massa Carrara; other national titles were then awarded to Aurora Lomi 17 years old from Viareggio, Giulia Stefanelli 18 years old from Fano, Manila Violini 17 years old from Ancona, Maty Lo 17 years old from Cesena, Ida Pedatella 14 years old from Cosenza, Pamela Albini 28 years old from Pescara, Elena Di Giuseppe 24 years old from Chieti, Valentina Filippi 28 years old from Carru’ Piedmont, Aurora Trigari 18 years old from Bra Piedmont. The first three classified received a prize consisting of entrances to the spa and beauty products also under the Terme di Chianciano brand from Angela Betty, journalist and communication manager of Terme di Chianciano.
