On Friday May 10th at 5.00 pm in the Fazello room of the Archaeological Museum of Agrigento, Enzo Tortora’s book “Letters to Francesca” will be presented.
A moment of reflection and in-depth analysis on one of the most striking Italian cases of “judicial error and media pillory” which affected one of the most prominent journalists and television hosts and considered one of the founding fathers of Italian television. Accused of very serious crimes such as Camorra association and drug dealing, Tortora was the victim of a sensational miscarriage of justice that dragged him into an unprecedented media vortex.
Will be present: Senator Francesca Scopelliti, wife of the late Enzo Tortora and recipient of the letters written from prison; the lawyer Giacomo Frazzitta, editor of the book; the lawyer Angelo Nicotra President of the Criminal Chamber of Agrigento; Franco Castaldo investigative journalist.
The President of the Agrigento Bar Association, Vincenza Gaziano, the Mayor of Agrigento Dr. Francesco Miccichè and the journalist Lelio Castaldo, Director of the sicilia24h.it newspaper, will give their greetings and introduce the proceedings.
