The Police Commissioner of Forlì-Cesena, Claudio Mastromattei, issued 5 daspo against as many fans who were “responsible for the introduction and ignition of pyrotechnic devices” (smoke bombs and firecrackers) inside the Cesena stadium.

The facts refer to the Cesena-Lecco matches (play-off 2022-2023), and Cesena-Torres, Cesena-Olbia and Cesena-Pescara this season.

So the device: “The fans affected by the ban on access to the stadiums, three from Cesena, one from Lecco and one from Pescara, evading the checks of the stewards, introduced some smoke bombs and firecrackers inside the curve which, during the matches, they lit and threw, creating dangerous situations for the safety of the spectators.

In one case, on March 30th on the occasion of the Cesena-Pescara match, inside the maximum security area of ​​the stadium, after having passed the turnstiles and the first steward check in the “Railway Curve”, the staff of the local team Mobile, together with a team from the Mobile Department of Bologna, noticed a bulge in the right pocket of the jacket worn by a fan from Pescara. From there the control began and the arrested man was found in possession of an exploding firecracker and an equally dangerous smoke bomb.

With a friend’s subscription

On 7 January, on the occasion of the Cesena-Olbia match, a fan from Cesena entered the stadium using a friend’s season ticket but thanks to the examination of the cameras of the video surveillance system he was recognized and fully identified.

The daspatis, all people in their fifties with the exception of a twenty-year-old from Pescara, they were identified thanks to the investigations carried out by Digos and the Scientific Police, making use of the images extrapolated from the video surveillance system of the sports facility.

Of the 5 ultras affected by the daspo, 4 will not be able to go to the stadium for a year while the fifth, the fan from Lecco, a repeat offender, will have to stay away from the matches for five years.
