LATINA – “The healthcare hiring plan announced yesterday by the president of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca is a massive investment in favor of citizens’ health, after years of continuous cuts. Healthcare in Lazio and in our province is finally back in motion. After the agreement signed between the Local Health Authority of Latina and the Giomi group for a collaboration in the cardiology field, which goes in the direction of reducing overcrowding in the emergency room of the Goretti hospital, another piece of good news arrived yesterday”. The mayor of Latina Matilde Celentano declared this in a press note.
The 2024-2025 maxi hiring plan, announced by President Rocca to the unions – he continues – provides for 8,158 new recruitments of healthcare workers throughout the region with an allocation of 466 million euros, in addition to the 1,541 stabilisations. The quota allocated to the Local Health Authority of Latina amounts to 1,051 units of healthcare professionals, including new hires and stabilizations. This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the largest investment plan in recent years in the Lazio region, thus making it possible to make community hospitals, community homes and territorial operations centers financed with Pnrr funds operational and which otherwise they would have been destined to remain cathedrals in the desert, considering the shortage of healthcare personnel.
Rocca’s plan, which will have extremely positive repercussions on our territory where the reorganization of the hospital network with the expansion of beds is already underway, is integrated into the national program of the current Government to strengthen public health through a fair and rational management of financial resources, for healthcare that is closer to the needs of all citizens. Good health policy, at this moment, through the Government supply chain, is starting to make its way throughout the entire regional territory and in our province, with targeted interventions, with a view to more efficient services, with new equipment, new structures, new collaborations public-private and new hires”.
