A docufilm promoted and financed by the Cuneo ATL, with the support of Confagricoltura Cuneo and the Valle Maira Tourist Consortium, with the patronage of the Unione Montana Valle Maira and the Municipality of Caraglio.

Filmed between 2021 and 2022 by Harmonia Film directed by Marco Ottavio Graziano, “Another summer will come” is set in the upper Maira Valley, in the heart of the Occitan lands.

The protagonists of the documentary film are Cristian, the young son of farmers, and his companion in summer adventures, the cow Albina. Between moments of real daily life made up of still manual jobs such as milking, milk processing and cheese production, the healthy and unconditional friendship of a boy and his adventure companion takes hold. In a globalized and technological world, the docufilm presents a glimpse of life still relevant in the Cuneo Alps, where Alpine villages and pastures are populated from June to September, where transhumance is an essential ritual that still marks the rhythm of life of men and women animals.

In many scenes, the uncontaminated landscapes, nature with the rustle of the wind, the chatter of wild animals, the ringing sound of cowbells will speak. A return to originsto the essential which is not the fruit of the director’s imagination, but which is the real transposition into images of the experience of shepherds and breeders, still current albeit unusual in the eyes of most.

The ATL of the Cuneo area immediately embraced this cinematic idea with enthusiasm, for an eco-sustainable valorisation and tourism promotion of the Cuneo Alps: the mountains of the Cuneo area must be savored slowly day by day, discovering at a slow pace villages and hamlets with their churches, the dry stone walls, the typical architecture of Alpine buildings, the fruit of ingenuity and industriousness, approaching the traditions that still characterize life in the mountains, tasting local 0 km products with intense and genuine flavours.

There projection is provided Saturday 18 May 2024 at 4.15 pm at Cinema Monviso in Cuneoas part of the exhibition “Future landscapes Films from the territory” of Cuneo Mountain Festival. The director Marco O. Graziano will participate in the screening.

Free entry while places last.
