SUBJECT: Failure of the CNVVF to be present at the transfer of the relics of the Patron Saint of Bari
Gianni Ricci
a few days after the conclusion of the 937th Anniversary of the Translation of the Saint’s relics
Patron saint of the city of Bari, an important event that brings together thousands of pilgrims from all over the world,
the undersigned OS intends to highlight how, once again, demonstrations are organized in the city
of every type, underestimating the importance of “safety and rescue”, so much so that ours
participation in the technical tables of the Prefecture of Bari would seem almost irrelevant and useless given that
which, for such a large event that brings around 250,000 people to the area
seafront/city center on 7-8-9 May will only have one fire brigade station with 3 units!
If you think about it badly it would seem like a sop to the firefighters from the Municipality, because someone
should explain to us how these colleagues could act, on just one point in the entire area
developed by Pane e pomodoro and the Port of Bari.
For the rest, every year our management with a smile and a pat on the back, promises us that
next year he will work harder, but we no longer believe in fairy tales!
To conclude, we say to the citizens of Bari “may God send us good luck” indeed, in this case,
“Sande Nicóle pinches you”!
The Territorial Secretary
Emanuele Antonacci
