The arson attack against the funeral home in Sassari.
This morning, around 5an arson attack occurred in via Monte Grappa, in Sassari, against the “Antonio Pinna” funeral agency.
The criminals have not yet been identified.
Two criminals, not yet identified, carried out the act of vandalism, smashing the windows of the agency and throwing two plastic bottles containing petrol inside, before setting the fire. The i.e. promptly intervened on site fire fighters and the agents of Flying Squad, who started the investigation into the arson. Further investigations are currently underway identify those responsible of the gesture.

L’Pinna funeral agency has also been the subject of attention in the past: in 2014, the owner Stefano Pinna was arrested on charges of corruption, as it was suspected that the undertakers accepted bribes in exchange for information on the deaths that occurred in the civil hospital Most Holy Annunziata. Furthermore, the Pinna agency is owned by the family members of Giovanni Pinnainvolved in an investigation into his cousin’s death Davide Calviawhich occurred at sea on 12 April 2023.
