POZZUOLI – The aggravating mafia situation has fallen and to Giuseppe De Mari (in the photo ed) were granted house arrest. This was established by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples who ordered the release and application of the electronic bracelet against the 25 year old from Pozzuoli, sentenced to 3 years and 4 months, a sentence also purged of the aggravating circumstance of the mafia method. The young man, assisted by lawyers Leopoldo Perone and Diego di Bonito, was arrested last August. The arrest order against a crime suspect was issued as part of the investigation into the wounding of a 27-year-old – Giuseppe Razzano – who, at 3 in the morning on 14 August, while driving his car, was approached from a motorbike with two people riding. One would have fired several shots outside the former ‘Damiani’ complex, wounding him in the legs. According to investigations by the Carabinieri soldiers, De Mari was also involved in the raid, believed to be close to the Longobardi-Beneduce clan, a hegemonic gang in the Pozzuoli area. Aggravating factor of the mafia method, foreseen by article 7, which later disappeared during the criminal proceedings. For De Mari, who is responsible for injuries, the judge ordered the replacement of the precautionary measure in prison with that of house arrest.
