Marsala – The Carabinieri of the Marsala Company have implemented an order for the application of the precautionary measure, issued by the GIP of the Court of Marsala, against a 29-year-old, under investigation for the crimes of receiving stolen goods and improper use of payment cards. The investigation activity, conducted also thanks to the acquisition of urban video surveillance images, would have made it possible to document how the man, in the period between May 2023 and January 2024, was caught driving 7 vehicles, found to be stolen and subsequently abandoned. In the circumstance, ATM withdrawals and POS payments made by the man with the cards that were present inside the parked cars and the proceeds of the theft would also have been documented. Once the formalities had been completed, the man was taken to his home under house arrest, with an electronic bracelet.
