Aeroporti di Puglia closes the first four months of 2024 with a more than positive sign. Passengers on Bari and Brindisi were 2,558,886, recording a +3.3% compared to the first four months of last year, when passengers were 2,477,544. In April alone, there were 625,993 passengers in transit at Bari airport (compared to 566,681 in the same period of 2023), recording an increase of 10.47%; in Brindisi, however, where there were 284,355 passengers, the increase is 5.58% compared to the same period in 2023 when there were 269,314 passengers. The total increase in passengers between Bari and Brindisi in April alone was 8.89%. Furthermore, international scheduled traffic, again in April, grew by 17.6% on Bari and 15.7% on Brindisi.

“In these four months of 2024 – declared the president of Aeroporti di Puglia, Antonio Maria Vasile – we have proudly and enthusiastically recorded a notable increase in passenger traffic. These numbers, which are not just numbers and have great significance for us, demonstrate a growing confidence in the vast range of connections available and also in the services offered to passengers which are constantly improving. Despite the geopolitical situation which at this moment deserves serious reflection, because it is causing great uncertainty and concern for what could be the evolution of the ongoing international crises, we look with confidence at what positive things can still come. The growing data for the Apulian airports reflects the work that Aeroporti di Puglia is putting in place in synergy with the Region and which is producing positive effects on the infrastructural improvements that are underway in our airports. All this is the result of our constant commitment to providing high quality services and investing in the growth and development of the Apulian airport network.”
