Piacenza Expo: Wine tourism becomes the protagonist at the 2024 Wine Fair

Piacenza Expo: Wine tourism becomes the protagonist at the 2024 Wine Fair. For the second edition, the Piacenza Expo market exhibition focuses on the territories to be discovered with the patronage of the Wine Tourism Movement. Almost 200 companies have already registered.

Piacenza Expo announces that the 2024 Wine Fair, scheduled in the Emilian capital from Saturday 16th to Monday 18th November, will become the first national trade fair event dedicated to wine tourism. The event obtained the patronage of the Wine Tourism Movement, a non-profit organization that brings together the most prestigious wineries in Italy selected on the basis of specific criteria, mainly for the quality of hospitality in the cellar.

The support was granted by the President of the Wine Tourism Movement Nicola D’Auria, who underlined how the Wine Fair is “a qualified and qualifying opportunity to develop training and business linked to the culture of wine tourism hospitality, promoting a approach to the world of wine increasingly characterized by the search for suggestions and sensorial experiences”. Addressed both to enthusiasts curious to explore new territories and delve into the culture of wine as well as to experts and professionals in the sector, the Wine Fair will propose a new way of understanding a market exhibition, where the meeting with the producers will become an opportunity to discover their products and stories but also the possibility of exploring the wine-growing areas of the Bel Paese, with their peculiarities and traditions. Along the way inside the pavilions, visitors will be able to find information and proposals to better organize their visits, not only to the cellars but also to the surrounding area.

“Our trade fair will be unique in the Italian panorama – declares Sergio Copelli, General Coordinator of Piacenza Expo – because it focuses on the strategic importance of promoting hospitality in the company and developing suitable activities. With a tested format and the development of the event over three days – with Monday designed for the HoReCa world, masterclasses and in-depth moments – we aim to become the point of reference in the wine tourism sector for the entire sector, but above all for wineries who choose to take part in the Wine Fair, renewing their trust in us, as well as in the operators who interact daily with tourists and wine lovers looking for innovative visiting experiences”.

To ensure the best use of the event and offer an ideal quality experience for visitors and producers, registrations will be closed when 300 exhibitors are reached. “We have already assigned 2/3 of the available places – continues Copelli – It is a sign that we are on the right path, and that this event is arousing great interest also thanks to the good starting point of the 2023 edition”.

Producers interested in exhibiting at the Wine Fair will be able to pre-register on the website www.fieradeivini.it. Requests will be evaluated by the technical committee which will be able to confirm registration until the maximum capacity is reached.
