Fine from illegal speed camera: how to appeal quickly [GUIDA]
Speed cameras turned off in Pordenone
PPrecisely because of the ruling of the Supreme Court, issued on April 22nd, the local police of Pordenone has decided to turn off all its speed cameras. The commander Maurizio Zorzetto he explained to Journal that this decision was taken “at least until the concrete interpretation of the sentence is clarified”. The objective is to avoid a large number of appeals similar to the one that brought the electronic fines system into crisis in Italy. As in the twisted case of Cadoneghe.
Devices that remain turned on
Thowever, not everyone agrees with this utmost caution. Some interpret the Supreme Court ruling as a ban only for certain types of non-approved speed cameras and therefore continue to issue fines via electronic devices.
The regional councilor for Infrastructure, Cristina Amiranteexplained that the network managed by Fvg Strade keeps all speed control devices active, as they are based on approved technologies. Among these are the cameras on the Pontebbana in Codroipo, on the Napoleonica in Castions di Strada and on the Ferrata near Madrisio, as well as the detectors on the Valcellina road and the new speed cameras on the Cimpello-Sequals.
Will the decision of the municipality of Pordenone also influence other Italian municipalities?
