In the wake of the Bike Tour, the sports charity event born in 2012 from an idea of President of the Foundation for Cystic Fibrosis Research Matteo Marzottothey will see themselves competing champions and two-wheel enthusiasts in an exceptional locationthe Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, the only Formula 1 circuit where racing runs counterclockwise, famous throughout the world for the adrenaline-pumping corners that made it go down in history.

“I am happy to return to Imola and resume the project which we suspended due to the dramatic climatic events of last year. And I’m happy that cycling, which I love so much, is becoming the distinctive sport of FFC Ricerca” – declares Matteo Marzotto, President of FFC Research. “Amateur cycling events like this, which sow a passion for sport even among the little ones, for healthy physical activity to share with family, with friends, in safety, can only see me in the saddle. Being in a location that represents the history of sport motivates us even more to support research and find the cure for all those people with cystic fibrosis who are still orphans of therapy.”

“After the forced cancellation of last year, it is with great pleasure that we return to host this important event at the Autodromo which will serve to raise funds for research into cystic fibrosis”, these the words of the President of Formula Imola Gian Carlo Minardi. “Solidarity events like this, which shine the spotlight on such an important topic, cannot fail to find our full availability, providing a structure that I consider ideal for this type of event. I invite everyone to participate, from families, to schools, to sports clubs, to give a tangible signal of solidarity, sociability and inclusiveness”.

With approximately 5 km and 120 m of altitude difference per lap, IMOLA CHARITY BIKE – In loop for FFC Ricerca includes a team race (max 6 participants) or for individual participants lasting 6 hours – starting at 10.00 am and ringing of the bell upon passing after 4.00 pm – divided into different categories and open to all bodies recognized by CONI.

An event with a supportive, amateur and educational slant, which is aimed at all those who have a passion for cycling, from sports associations to families and local schools. In fact, the sporting competition is also accompanied by a training activity that will involve primary and secondary schools (up to 15 years old) in Imola and the surrounding area, which will be offered a preparatory activity not only for cycling as a sporting activity, but also as an educational one. , from a safety perspective, to allow us to approach the bicycle as a sustainable mode of transport.

The registration fee is 25 euros for individuals, 150 euros per team, free for under 15s.

Non-members who wish to participate must present a medical certificate valid for competitive activity and the additional fee of €10 for insurance coverage.

The use of a hard helmet is mandatory, the event is insured by RCT. For anything not covered, the UISP national cycling regulation applies.
