It will be held on Saturday 11 May, starting from 8.30 am, in the “G. Bottiglieri” in Palazzo S. Agostino, the conference with the theme “Oncology: therapeutic algorithms in Real Life“, organized by the San Giovanni di Dio Ruggi d’Aragona Salerno UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL and by the LILT Provincial Association of SALERNO, in collaboration with the Order of Doctors and Dentists of the province of Salerno and which sees Doctor Clementina SAVASTANO, Oncology UOC, Director of the Oncology DH of the San Giovanni di Dio University Hospital Ruggi d’Aragona and Doctor Giuseppe PISTOLESE, President LILT Salerno provincial association
Current oncology has reached a high level of complexity due to tumor heterogeneity and the identification of hundreds of different molecular forms. Therefore, today it is becoming increasingly difficult to summarize the evidence currently available in a limited time space and provide indications on what is truly relevant and technically feasible “in real life” for the purposes of patient management.
The 2024 edition of the Congress therefore aims to provide as complete an overview of the “in real life” therapeutic algorithms of the most frequent neoplasms, representing a moment of updating and comparison between all the players in the system, to describe the main processes scientific and regulatory developments linked to new challenges in oncology.
The congress will focus on the most recent diagnostic and therapeutic innovations in the oncology field, offering a complete overview of the scientific evidence deriving from national and international congresses and publications, thanks to the participation of undisputed opinion leaders, leaving more time for analysis and discussion of the “big killers” and guaranteeing the holding of an event that is an opportunity for professional growth and fruitful discussion.
The conference, aimed at surgeons (all Disciplines), farmicists (Pharmacist from other sectors; Public Pharmacist of the NHS; Territorial Pharmacist), biologists, nurses and psychologists, it will be introduced by Dr. Clementina Savastano and will see the participation of, among others, Vincenzo D’Amato General Director of AOU San Giovanni di Dio Ruggi d’Aragona Salerno Medical School; John D’Angelo, President of the Order of Doctors and Dentists of the province of Salerno; Henry Coscioni President Agenas; Emilia Anna Vozzella, Health Director of AOU San Giovanni di Dio Ruggi d’Aragona Salerno Medical School.
Various topics will be covered in the eight sessions. We will talk about Breast Neoplasms, Neuroendocrine Neoplasms, Renal Neoplasms, Prostate Neoplasms, Bladder and Colon Rectal Neoplasms, but not only that, important will be the moments in which the experiences will be compared in real life and the final conclusions will always be entrusted to Dr. Savastano, in addition to verifying learning.
