Bag thefts: thieves are back in action in Aprilia with the cream or beige Fiat Panda. It happened again after a few weeks of stopping. The latest theft occurred last Monday, in the afternoon, near Via Mozart. Dynamics identical to that of previous thefts. The victim had just parked, she was alone in the car. Her purse was on the seat next to the driver. A few minutes later an unknown person got out of the Panda and opened the door of the woman’s car, grabbing her bag and fleeing with an accomplice in a Panda.

THE SCAMS

The woman – who had documents, 50 euros and some personal effects in her bag – immediately turned to the police. In recent days, in particular between Friday and Saturday, another 4 identical incidents occurred but in other areas of the city. A woman was robbed in the Globo car park, another in the parking area of ​​the Esselunga superstore and then a girl was targeted near the Cde diagnostic center in Viale Europa, a stone’s throw from the Fire Brigade detachment of Aprilia.

As mentioned, the dynamics were identical for everyone: two thin men, after having identified their victims, took action very quickly. One of the two stays behind with the car running, the other gets out and opens the door of the chosen victim’s car to take possession of the bags left on the seat next to the driver.

All the victims noticed the cream or beige Fiat Panda. Someone also wrote down the license plate number which was immediately provided to the Carabinieri of the Aprilia Territorial Department. We are trying to trace those responsible, but the matter is not easily resolved. It is likely that the two only use the car on rare occasions. In any case, however, citizens await answers. They believe that the two thieves can be identified and stopped immediately.

«It seems like a small theft – says one of the victims – but it cost me 300 euros. In addition to the fact that I was left without documents and had to block all credit and debit cards to avoid further problems. It is not possible that a person who goes to the supermarket cannot feel safe. In any case, at this point I feel like saying that it’s a good idea to travel around with shoulder bags, never remove them and above all don’t leave them on the seat if you haven’t closed the car properly first. In the end the responsibility always falls on the victims.” Similar events have actually been happening for some time.

Before this new series of complaints it had happened in February in the Conad car park, and a few weeks earlier in via Aldo Moro, in the Penny market area, and in via Alcide De Gasperi, near a stationery shop. In one case a woman lost the 500 euros she had just withdrawn from the ATM. But similar cases also occur in neighboring municipalities: a doctor from Aprilia was robbed of her purse in the municipality of Ardea. Inside she had almost two thousand euros just withdrawn, documents and other personal effects.
