Opentusk is the participatory project launched in 2023 by the Digital Transformation Section of the Puglia Region to strengthen awareness of the strategic importance of open data, supporting Local Authorities, the economic, research, innovation and third sector world and building new perspectives of development.

The initiative’s territorial involvement path will stop in Bitonto on Friday 10 May 2024 with a public event aimed at mayors, representatives and officials of municipal administrations, Digital Transition Managers, professionals, experts, economic operators, territorial actors of civil society, local community of the Galactic Network, to strengthen awareness of the strategic importance of open data and build new development prospects.

The objective is that of wider adherence to the Regional Council Resolution no. 584/2023, which provides the possibility for local authorities and private entities that carry out public services to sign the agreement with the Puglia Region aimed at publishing their open data directly on the regional platform, for an overall increase in resources for citizens, businesses and Apulian territorial actors.

The morning program of the day will be hosted at Palazzo di Città in the Hall of Mirrors and predicts from 9.30 to 11 an informative moment on the opportunities and advantages linked to the production and reuse of open data by Municipalities, with further information on regional initiatives aimed at municipal administrations in the digital field.
From 11am to 1pm space for a laboratory for the emergence of the demand for open data for the development of the local territory and, in parallel, for a technical-regulatory study aimed at suppliers, professionals and Digital Transition Managers.

In the afternoon, from 3pm to 6.30pmwork will resume with the Galattica communities in the urban laboratory “Cultural Workshops”: institutions, associations, territorial actors, experts and citizens are called to participate in a dedicated workshop, to strengthen the achievement of Opentusk’s objectives, to bring out local development themes and topics and to understand, together with the participants, how open data they can accelerate it, with the protagonism of citizens, especially young people.
