In the last two months, the Municipality of Caserta has involved Third Sector operators active in the area, as foreseen by the regional tender, in order to implement useful proposals for carrying out activities of significant social value within the property. An internal commission within the Municipality will evaluate the submissions and the one deemed most valid will participate in the regional tender together with the Municipality.

The Campania Region’s tender in favor of the Municipalities provides for aco-planning activities between municipal administrations and third sector entities. Specifically, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and building renovation interventions on real estate confiscated from organized crime in the regional territory and transferred to the unavailable assets of local authorities are financed. IN these properties, actions for start-ups intended as the start of a specific activity for social innovation and social economy projects must be implemented. The resources will be used both for the redevelopment and subsequent furnishing of the property and to support its management activities.

“We have completed this important phase of the discussion table with Third Sector operators – explained the Councilor for Confiscated Assets, Emilianna Credentino – and now we are ready to publish a notice and select the most suitable project with which to participate in the Campania Region Call. Our fundamental objective, to achieve the objective of valorising the property in via Sant’Antonio, is to share the projects with the associations. The reuse of confiscated assets allows us to use these spaces for socially valid initiatives but also to promote and strengthen the culture of legality and solidarity”.
