Another big name will liven up the Porto Recanati summer: the famous Bosnian composer and internationally renowned musician, Goran Bregovic. The appointment is July 17th, at 9.30pm, on the stage of the Gigli arena where the concert “Goran Bregovic and his Orchestra for Weddings and Funerals” will be staged. Among other things, it will also be his only date in the Marche. The show is organized by Futura Unisce, with the patronage of the Municipality of Porto Recanati. With roots in the Balkans, where he is originally from, Goran Bregovic’s compositions mix the sounds of a gypsy fanfare, traditional Bulgarian polyphonies, an electric guitar and traditional percussion with rock accents. And so, over the years, he has given life to music that very few can resist. Born in Sarajevo to a Serbian mother and Croatian father, Goran Bregovic created his first rock bands as a teenager. And from there followed fifteen years with his group White Button and thirteen albums sold in 6 million copies.
