The meeting entitled ‘Strategies and opportunities for the development of villages’ promoted by Gal Fermano and Tu.Ris was held at ‘La Bottaia’ in Monte Vidon Combatte. Marche with the aim of presenting the objectives achieved regarding the development of Valdaso and the regulations for tourist accommodation in the same territory. The work was introduced by Michela Borri, president of Gal Fermano, who, in taking stock of the programming of the 2014/2020 European Funds, underlined the goals achieved with the five local integrated projects. Among these is the Pil Ecotour Valdaso which involved the municipalities of Altidona, Campofilone, Lapedona, Monterubbiano, Monte Vidon Combatte, Moresco, Ortezzano and Petritoli. “With the GDP we supported the commercial tourism sector in the area of the participating municipalities, with a total financial endowment of 759,062.52 euros – said Borri – resulting in the creation of two new businesses and three strengthened with new branches of activity, in addition to the many investments made by the Municipalities to recover valuable assets functional to the creation of information points and tourist services as well as to complete the Aso Cycle Route with the creation of junction areas”. Also present at the meeting were the mayors Cannella of Campofilone and Massucci of Monte Vidon Combatte, and the coordinator of the Gal Fermano Rocco Corrado who focused on the synergistic involvement between public and private. A complementary role in the promotional activity of Valdaso is that of Tu.Ris.Marche, a tour operator specialized in incoming and leader of the ‘Valdaso Experience’ project, a ‘destination branding’ activity for the territory of the eight Municipalities. “Thanks to the production of digital information material and participation in tourism fairs in Italy and abroad – said Andrea Marsili, president of Tu.Ris.Marche – we have become a point of reference for tourism. To embellish this important work is was the drafting of the regulations for tourist reception in Valdaso, a real decalogue developed in a shared manner with the partners operating in the area and addressed to those who would like to enter this sector or understand what the best practices are with a view to improving the performance”.
