The exhibition inaugurated today in the Sala delle Colonne of the Palazzo della Regione is a journey through the history of the 100 years of the Trieste section of the National Carabinieri Association. Uniforms, models of vehicles used by the force, photos, documents and testimonies are on display until Saturday 11 May.

The event also aims to thank all the people who have contributed to the community over time, even on leave, with volunteer work on various fronts, often in emergency situations.

In the rooms of the building, uniforms from different sections are displayed, such as that of officers of the Somalia carabinieri group, that of second lieutenants from the First World War or those of paratroopers. There are also historical postcards, photographs of events held in the region and images celebrating the 100-year milestone.

The Trieste section has been named after Brigadier Giovanni Lanzillotto since 1928, silver medal for military valour.
