Stevens was the second pick in the second round of the PLL Collegiate Draft, held Tuesday night at ESPN Headquarters
A do-it-all midfielder, Stevens has been an immediate impact for Syracuse since transferring from Princeton University for a graduate year. The Puslinch, Ontario, Canada native has a balanced 17 goals with 15 assists this season, including seven goals in his last three games. Stevens seems to enjoy American Legion Memorial Stadium, where he scored his two Syracuse hat tricks, including four goals last weekend against No. 6 Duke in the ACC Tournament semifinals on just seven shots.
Aiding on the faceoff wing, Stevens has accounted for 39 ground balls this spring, while causing four turnovers. Including his time in the Ivy League, Stevens appeared in 64 games with 75 career goals and 26 assists for 101 career points, averaging over a point and a half per game in his career.
Stevens’ collegiate career isn’t over yet as he and the No. 4 Orange prepare for the first round of the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Tournament. Syracuse takes on No. 12 Towson University Sunday evening on ESPNU, with a 7:30 pm start time at the JMA Wireless Dome. Tickets are available here at $17 in advance.
