Change at Marina Dorica. The new president is Giorgetti: «Now attract large boats»

ANCONA Tour of seats at the top of the tourist port. The shareholders’ meeting took place yesterday afternoon which decided on the new appointments for the board of directors and the board of auditors. Andrea Giorgetti is the new president, indicated by the mayor of Ancona, who succeeds Leonardo Zuccaro. Silvetti’s other appointment is that of yachtsman Gianluca Gianni. Vice-president of Marina Dorica is the former councilor for public works, Paolo Manarini, former president of Assonautica and an Ancona yachtsman. On the board of directors: Ennio Molinelli (former president of the Ancona Yacht Club), Claudio Ciarmatori (former president of the Naval League), Loris Simonetti indicated by the Dopolavoro railway and Elio Libri indicated by Stamura.

The target

«Now we need to attract important boats from outside the region» is the input of Giorgetti, an insurance broker on the board of Aon Italia and also an expert yachtsman with a deep knowledge of Marina Dorica. «Our marina works very well, he says, but it is perceived as a place far from the city. We will strive to communicate it better, also by virtue of the many entrepreneurial and commercial activities that gravitate towards it. We must encourage entrepreneurs to do business in Marina Dorica.” «I will work to make Marina Dorica work as best as possible, taking into account the value it has for the benefit of the whole city» replied vice-president Manarini.

The reviewers

The new board of auditors, however, is made up of the president Gianluigi Gentili and the members of the board of auditors Stefano Di Gioacchino and Luigi Scoponi. The director of Marina Dorica, Alessandro Domogrossi, wanted to welcome the new appointees: «We have come from a profitable three-year period – he stated – and the upcoming one will be the same». The first meeting of the newly installed board of directors will be held within the month of May. «Just enough time to complete the administrative procedures» specifies Domogrossi. Meanwhile, Giorgetti is preparing to formulate the guidelines for management under his guidance.

The dynamics

Marina Dorica’s CV already includes an appointment to the board of directors in 2010. Only one mandate. «But I know the management dynamics well» assures Giorgetti who sets out important objectives. «The tourist port lives according to how much demand there is – he explains – so we need to increase it and broaden the radius of attraction». Regarding communication, he sees important possibilities: «Push well also on social media to make known all our services and activities». And to those who claim that the distance from the center is a deterrent, he replies firmly: «All the major tourist ports are far from the city centre. But by implementing connections we can reduce this perception which is not all that realistic.”
