The prefect of Pistoia, Licia Donatella Messina, chaired a meeting of the provincial committee for public order and safety which was attended by the mayor of Montecatini Terme, the provincial leaders of the police force, together with representatives of the Province, of municipality of Pistoia, Confcommercio and Confesercenti.

At the center of the meeting, the implementation of shared strategies for preventing and combating the phenomenon of bad nightlife in places in the provincial territory which express a particular tourist vocation and where there is a greater concentration of premises and public establishments capable of promoting leisure opportunities and moments of aggregation.

The prefect underlined the particular attention paid to the topic by the Police Force which, through the planning of coordinated territorial control services, consistently ensures the joint commitment of different resources and specialties in the areas affected by the nightlife.

In this direction, the trade associations have ensured maximum commitment in raising the awareness of their members to promptly report any irregularities to the authorities in charge of controls.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the committee expressed a favorable opinion regarding the projects to expand video surveillance presented by the municipalities of Serravalle Pistoiese and Uzzano.
