Giana Anguissola literary competition, all the winners of the 18th edition

The award ceremony for students and classes of secondary schools 2nd degree that they participated in 18th edition of the “Giana Anguissola” literary competition, was an opportunity to meet the writer Marie Aude Murailamong the most important authors of French children’s literature, who in his lyrics ironically addresses delicate themes such as emotional growth, gender identity, family ties and justice.

The Giana Anguissola literary prize is promoted by the Municipality of Piacenza, the Passerini-Landi municipal library and created in collaboration with Equilibri, with funding from the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation. Theme of this edition, “Here and elsewhere. From unlivable cities to invisible cities”.

THE WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION

The first three classified in each category receive, respectively, the sum of 200, 150 and 100 euros in book vouchers. All classes of participants were sent the entries selected by the Jury of merit, among which the classes themselves decided the winners through online voting.

POETRY SECTION

PROSE SECTION
1st – Acrobat and young tightrope walker – Agata Zavattarelli

The difficult transition from childhood to adolescence, with its physical and mental transformations, described with precision and a sadness colored by nostalgia, but also with the awareness of mistakes and possible ways to correct them, thanks to the passion for art to which the title also refers.

A fun walk with a very special chatty bicycle turns into a wonderful flying journey to the tune of Domenico Modugno’s song, where the author manages to convey to readers the light-heartedness of a daydream

3rd – Classroom of crossed destinies: the Star – Elisa Gazzola

A successful story of the protagonist who, against the backdrop of a gray and insignificant day, manages to describe herself using the lively and colorful symbolism of the Major Arcana of the Tarot.
