Rain and storms are coming, yellow alert also in Sicily

From tomorrowthe bad weather will progressively affect Southern Italy, bringing rainfall, especially thunderstorms, to the southern regions and in particular to Sicily. Based on the available forecasts, the Civil Protection department in agreement with the regions involved – which is responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the territories concerned – issued a new severe weather warning. The warning forecasts from the early hours of tomorrow, Wednesday 8 May, scattered to widespread rainfall, including downpours or thunderstorms, on the Sicilyin extension a Calabria, Basilicata and Campania. The phenomena will be accompanied by heavy showers, frequent electrical activity, local hailstorms and strong gusts of wind. On the basis of the expected and ongoing phenomena, a yellow alert has been assessed for tomorrow on part of Molise and throughout the entire territory of Campania, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily.
