The provincial committee for guesthouses has sent a request to the Mayor of Sanremo, Alberto Biancheri, to ensure that three rooms on the first floor of the former stables of Villa del Sole (already refurbished for a few months) are used as guesthouses for healthcare personnel coming from other realities.
The decision was made after a first meeting last February between a representative of the committee and the general director of ASL 1 Maria Elena Galbusera. A final appointment to conclude the round of meetings with the Municipalities of Sanremo, Ventimiglia, Imperia and Taggia (the four largest cities in the province).
“Dr. Galbusera on that occasion – underlines the committee – expressed particular interest in the problem of guest quarters for off-site staff, and welcomed with pleasure the news (provided by us) of the possible availability of three rooms (owned by the Municipality of Sanremo) on the first floor (already used in the past as a guesthouse and recently renovated) of the former Villa del Sole Stables in Sanremo”.
With respect to the interest of ASL 1, the committee informed the Councilors Pireri and Ormea, underlining the need, already expressed by Dr. Galbusera, for a necessary inspection of the premises: “We are over two months from the information provided (also in a formal, as per the copy of the press release delivered to the Mayor’s Secretariat), but the situation (despite the presence of further informal contacts) does not appear to have made any progress. Certainly the serious accident that happened to Councilor Pireri, to whom we wish a full recovery and the resumption of his commitment, may have caused a delay which must necessarily be made up for by Councilor Ormea”.
The Committee, in appreciating the entry into operation in Imperia (from the beginning of April) of the first guesthouse for medical specialists, asks the Ormea Heritage Councilor to agree (if he has not yet done so) with the Dr. Maria Elena Galbus wanted a date (as close as possible) for the necessary inspection.
