Gasperini Naples – Aurelio De Laurentiis is looking for a coach for next season. In fact, Francesco Calzona will not be confirmed on the blue bench and the owner of the Naples is evaluating various profiles. In the last few hours, the name most insistently linked to the Campania company is that of Gian Piero Gasperinicoach ofAtalanta since the 2016/2017 season.
The Piedmontese coach has collected 380 benches so far with the Nerazzurri club. Many goals have been achieved in these eight years: starting from the Champions League qualifiers up to the Italian Cup finals. Gasperini, however, has not yet won any trophies with this team. He could do it in what could be his last year on the benchAtalanta. In fact, in two days they will play for the Europa League final against Marseille, while on May 15th they will challenge Juventus in the Italian Cup final.
As previously mentioned, this could truly be his last season with the Bergamo players. The Naples is under strong pressure to try to convince him in view of the next championship and the renewal of the contract withAtalanta it’s not that obvious. The current agreement will expire on 30 June 2025 and, as confirmed by the same Gasperini at the press conference, talks about an extension did not begin.

I don’t know when we will have time to talk about the renewal“, these were the words of Gian Piero Gasperini in the post-Salernitana press conference. The statements of the Piedmontese coach leave room for a possible separation with the Bergamo players. In that case, the Naples Of Aurelio De Laurentiis will try to get him on the blue bench and start planning next season as best as possible.
