The Health Councilor confirmed the existence of the problem “due to the enormous number of exams carried out by the pathological anatomy operational unit of the Rimini hospital (+12% compared to 2019) and to the shortage of doctors and laboratory technicians. To overcome the problem, a series of incentive actions have been implemented which are accompanied by the recent appointment of the director of the unit with the specific task of reorganizing the activity of the sector and this has already guaranteed a reduction in reporting times by an average of 15 days. Despite this, we expect a further improvement in the situation with further incentives for performance outside working hours.”
