On May 3rd at the Teatro della Fortuna in Fano, and in a second performance on May 4th at the Teatro dell’Aquila in Fermo, “Madonna – Like a virgin”, the latest creation that combines pop with classical, rock sound with the symphonic sounds of the orchestra.
The new cultural project of the renowned G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra skilfully combines musical and cultural ingredients.
The objective was to enhance songs from the pop repertoire while respecting the nature that made Madonna an icon of customs, as well as a rock star of the 80s and 90s, while giving a symphonic guise interpreted by one of the few Italian orchestras recognized by the Ministry of Culture among the Orchestral Concert Institutions (first instance).
There was not only music, but a story, played by the actress Giulia Bellucci, which retraced the history of Madonna, delving into her stylistic features, bringing the listener closer to the artist’s notes and personality, and accompanying the audience in a fascinating and fun journey.
Among the many “crossound” projects by Sinfonica Rossini that have seen the light in recent years, the prestigious signatures of Roberto Molinelli, the maestro who conducted the Orchestra and arranged the pieces, and Claudio Salvi stand out.
Roberto Molinelli is a conductor and arranger with a worldwide career, with records, collaborations and arrangements of absolute prestige such as those involving Amii Stewart, Mahamood, Lucio Dalla, Enrico Ruggeri, just to name a few, guest of international orchestras .
Claudio Salvi is an author and journalist, whose texts have created shows replicated hundreds of times, dedicated to Queen, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and so on.
On the stage, in addition to the aforementioned Rossini Orchestra in symphonic formation, there were the voices of Clarissa Vichi, a local talent, but now active internationally, capable of giving voice to the pop repertoire in a classical key, and of Francesco Troilo Di Carlo , singer, actor and dancer, trained at the Carlo Tedeschi school.
The back vocalists completed the cast: Valentina Ariemma and Angela Pascucci.
The program performed included all the major hits of Madonna, an American singer loved all over the world, one of the pop artists most present at the top of the popularity and sales charts, awarded countless times on the five continents.
From Like a Virgin, which gave the show its title, to Frozen, from Like a prayer to Don’t cry for me Argentina.
The concert was the last Fano event of the “Maxi” Symphony Season of the Rossini Symphony Orchestra with the Teatro della Fortuna Foundation of Fano (president Catia Amati), which receives the support of public institutions (the Ministry of Culture, the Marche Region and the Municipality of Fano), and private sponsors (the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Fano, the Cassa di Risparmio di Fano Foundation and Aset spa).
The presence of a group of supporters of the orchestra, the “Friends of the Rossini Symphony Orchestra”, was also indispensable, with lawyer Pamela Salucci as president.
And we are already awaiting the first indiscretions from the Rossini Symphony Orchestra regarding the highly anticipated summer season in which there will be the “Symphony Pop Festival 2024”.
