The American dream seems to have disappeared into thin airwith Nicola Canonico who – surprisingly – yesterday, issued a press release greeting the square and the club staff, without mentioning the Americans or even Mergers and announcing that he had left the shares of CN Sport in the hands of Mayor Episcopo.
“I would like to be clear about mine intentions and at reasons of this decision. I have always believed in potential of Calcio Foggia 1920 and I worked tirelessly to defend and promote the interests of the club and his community of fans. However, the climate toxic and the threats personal issues that I had to face have made impossible continue to dedicate mine I commit It’s mine passion at Calcio Foggia 1920″these are the words of Canonico.

Foggia, future to be saved
There is silence regarding the US negotiation. Unknown. It is not known what happened to him and how things went since there was talk of a rather advanced negotiation, which had been going on for several months, as he himself – the Canon – had previously declared: “I am pleased to announce that advanced negotiations are underway and that the parties are working towards a positive solution”he said. Furthermore, there is the veto imposed on a segment of local entrepreneurs because Canonico has in fact declared that he will hand over 51% of CN Sport for free only to third party buyers, not to the same entrepreneurs who tried to acquire Foggia a year ago with a direct proposal : “Except for that group of entrepreneurs who last year made an offer to Calcio Foggia 1920. These entrepreneurs offered a proposal that damaged my intelligence and therefore will not be included in this offer”he wrote.
